TMUCIH joined the China-ASEAN University Consortium Experience Sharing Online Conference on COVID-19 

On May 19,2020, our hospital joined in the China-ASEAN University Consortium Experience Sharing Online Conference on COVID-19 organized by the Peking University Health Science Center and ASEAN Chairman Unit, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. The theme of the Online Conference is Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol, Prevention and Control of COVID-19. China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medicine and Health was launched by Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) in October, 2019, aiming at promoting regional and global medical science and public health through in-depth exchanges and collaboration. The Online Conference brought together renowned experts and scholars from China-ASEAN University Consortium, including  Mahidol University, Thailand; Universities Indonesia, University of Malaya, Thoracic Society of Thailand, , Infection Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health, Singapore, Peking University Third Hospital, Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, School of Medicine of Wuhan University and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, to share their experiences and best practices in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.

 

The experts of both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on their respective pandemic situation progress, the measures of pandemic prevention and control, medical staffs protection, relevant cases analyses, clinical practice experience and so on. The representatives of the medical team members, who had worked on the frontline of COVID-19 pandemic and the clinical doctors of our hospital also had fruitful discussions with the experts on the protection of medical staffs, long-term standardized prevention and public health education. In the discussion, the experts shared their successful experiences on the frontline of the pandemic and gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the fellow hospitals about detection methods, case tracking, clinical treatment, prevention and control measures.The online conference was very productive which last more than 3 hours, the participants also benefited a lot.

The COVID-19 pandemic has become a global challenge. We must strengthen cooperation with other countries in response to the COVID-19 challenge and together build a community with a shared future for mankind. At present, The COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control situation in China is improving steadily. In the face of the pandemic, China and Asian countries have been supporting each other and responding together. We believe that through close cooperation, we will overcome the pandemic situation completely and jointly safeguard public health safety and people's health.
