October 13, 2019 is the sixth "world thrombosis day". In order to in-depth implement the " remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind" theme education requirements, adhere to the patient-centered service concept, promote the construction of patient`s management system for the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE) , l medical department, nursing department, outpatient office jointly carried out the thrombus outpatient consultation activities for free on October 11.

A total of 8 experts from lung cancer department, interventional therapy department, intensive care department, ultrasonic diagnosis and treatment department, radiology department, laboratory department and pharmaceutical department answered public questions on thrombus prevention, imaging examination of thrombus, blood coagulation test, thrombus therapy and precautions for use of anticoagulant drugs.

On the same day, our hospital organized a training meeting on prevention and treatment of VTE in our hospital, which was presided over by Zhenfa Zhang, deputy director of the department of lung cancer, and prevention and treatment specialists of venous thromboembolism from the 9 pilot department attended the meeting.

According to Prof. Huilai Zhang,  the meeting aims to further enhance medical staff's awareness of the severity of VTE and improve the comprehensive prevention and treatment capability of VTE. Each pilot department should further improve the VTE prevention and treatment system of the department, carry out relevant evaluation, prevention, diagnosis and treatment in a comprehensive, standardized and orderly manner, and push forward the VTE prevention and treatment program for tumors.
